Offloading and transportation of windmills in Greek Island

Cosmatos Shipping Services, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Greece, recently completed the offloading, transportation and receipt at storage area of 12 sets of windmills at Mesta port of Chios island.

Apart from the above services, Cosmatos Group arranged

• HSE tutorial to stevedoring union prior to commencement of ops
• Daily Toolbox meetings with all personnel involved
• Marking of the perimeter of the operation’s zone with safety signals and access restriction by unauthorized personne
• Use of Cosmatos Group own discharging equipment to assist maintaining high safety standards while avoiding cargo damage (lollipops)

The Cosmatos Projects Team played an active role at all discharging operations to ensure that all steps were completed to the client’s full satisfaction.
