Project movement from India to Bangladesh during pandemic outbreak

May 16, 2020

In these highly uncertain times, Total Movements, member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, is proud to have shipped a project cargo of over 12,000 freight tonnes from Chennai in India to Mongla in Bangladesh for the Rampal Project Site.

While this project was under execution, a major challenge faced was the outbreak of COVID-19. Due to this pandemic the team of Total Movements came across a peak period of lockdown (30th March, 2020) in both India and Bangladesh which led to the disruption in the port operations. This was a very prestigious project for the company as their client had to meet financial commitment to ship this cargo.

However, the team of Total Movements was persistent to complete the shipment with the support of the port and the selected carrier to meet the client's requirements.

A spokesperson for Total Movements states:
As it is rightly said, “Difficult times do not define you, they Refine you!”.
