Allfort Co. Inc., member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Japan, shipped one heavy railroad vehicle from Yokohama port, Japan.
The heavy cargo is a “Multiple Tie Tamper” of 179 cbm and weight of 55 ton and goes by the name “Profile ballast Machine Plasser & Theurer”.
A floating crane lifted the cargo onto a barge for the transport alongside a waiting Break Bulk vessel’s berth at Yokohama port. After sea-fastening, the vessel sailed to final destination Port Kelang, Malaysia.
Allfort have exported a great number of similar railroad vehicles from Japan to a variety of countries, utilizing similar mode of transport arrangements.
