Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC conducts Membership Conference in Prague

May 13, 2013

The Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC, the leading franchise based network for project cargo forwarders, conducted its 13th annual membership conference in Prague 9-11 May.

Wolfgang Karau, Director for the network, states: “We are proud and honored to have noticed a high attendance for our event in Prague by 100 representatives from our membership companies, invited sponsors and media representatives. Many of the membership companies have been with the network since its start-up 14 years ago.”

During the WWPC conference the network's commitment to the future society was manifested through an auction for the benefit of the Metabolic Childrens Hospital in Prague.

“We are greatful to our conference sponsors and media representatives for having made available various valuable items for an auction, generating more than USD 13.000,- for the Childrens Hospital in Prague” Mr. Karau said.

The WWPC meets every year in a different location, which is voted for by the attending conference members. Prague was chosen during the last year, when the network's members met in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

For the upcoming 2014 membership conference location the attending members in Prague voted for Phuket in Thailand.

The network offers exclusive representation per country or area to specialized project forwarding companies. The acceptance of suitable WWPC members are handled by a selected Board of Advisors and the WWPC management. The attending members voted for re-election of the past year's members to the WWPC BoA, consisting of Mr. Fritz Mumenthaler of General-Transport, Switzerland, Mr. Willy Hoffmann of Albacor Shippping, USA, Mr. Mohammed A. Osman of Darka for Trading, Sudan and Mr. Patrick Lee of CNC Freight Services, Malaysia.

The WWPC management will also be in Antwerp during the upcoming European Break Bulk Exhibition and welcomes interested parties to meet them at the Quality Cargo Networks booth 112 in Hall 1.
