Jan 20, 2026

Kaleido Logistics, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Spain and Portugal, in close collaboration with fellow WWPC network member for Greece, Cosmatos Shipping Services, successfully completed the road transportation of a key wind energy component from Spain to Greece.

The project involved the transport of a main shaft for a wind turbine, a heavy and oversized component measuring 3.172 m in length, 3.758 m in width and 3.118 m in height, with a total weight of 37 tons.

The cargo was loaded in Soria, Spain, and transported by road directly to the wind farm site located in the Region of Viotia (Greece), ensuring a direct and efficient delivery to its final destination.

The success of this operation was driven by the strong coordination and seamless collaboration between Kaleido Logistics and Cosmatos Shipping Services, combining technical expertise, detailed planning and precise execution. This joint effort highlights the added value of cooperation within the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) network when handling complex and critical renewable energy projects.
