Worldwide Project Consortium

Bio Energy Plant parts from United Kingdom to India

Jul 11, 2022

Denholm Project Forwarding, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the United Kingdom, was recently responsible for providing a total logistics solution for movement of bio energy plant equipment from the UK to India. The shipment included large pieces of 9 meter length and maximum weight of 10.5 tons.

Denholm Project Forwarding states: “To identify the most cost-effective logistics solution for our client, the freight forwarding project actually began by working closely with the engineering and fabrication team for two months prior to labelling and consolidating. Once fabricated, our team received the equipment at a warehouse in Norwich. We worked diligently for a full week, carefully labelling and consolidating the bio energy equipment to ensure it would be secure and weatherproof during its export voyage – this was when the pre-planning with the engineers and fabricators paid off!

The well-packed equipment was loaded onto 4 x 40`flat racks and 5 x 40`HC containers, transported to Southampton and sea freighted to Nhava Sheva Port in Mumbai, India. From there, Denholm Project Forwarding worked closely with its Indian contacts to ensure the equipment’s safe arrival to its final destination.”
