Express Global Logistics (EXG) successfully loaded 284 Mt x 2 reels from United Kingdom to Abu Dhabi

Dec 25, 2013

Express Global Logistics (formerly known as Express Transport), member to the Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC network in India, arranged for the safe and timely loading of 284 Mt x 2 cable reels on m.v. Carolina from Hartlepool Port U.K to Mina Zayed Port, Abu Dhabi.

The vessel commendably stowed an 1065 CBM on board both in the hatch & under deck. The reels weighted up to 284 MT each & measurements of up to 9.38 X 5.91 X 9.20 (Mtrs). They were destined for 3 Well Head Platform Project in Abu Dhabi. Considering the urgency of the shipment, senior team member of the EXG project team had personally visited UK to ensure the completion of the shipment.

As per Mr. Nailesh Gandhi, Director of EXG “the challenge was to arrange gearless vessel matching cargo laycan at Hartlepool. Another challenge was to load the cargo during very cold & windy weather. However due to excellent loading, stowing, sea fastening, and planning the cargo loading process, the operation was completed well in time (6 hours) at the load port of U.K.”
