Express Global Logistics (EXG) successfully shipped 815 FRT cargo from Rijeka, Croatia to Doha, Qatar

Express Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd, member of Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, recently arranged for the safe and timely delivery of 815 FRT of project cargo from Rijeka, Croatia to Doha, Qatar.

The shipment contained 2 x 160 MVA transformers measuring 8.12 x 3.20 x 3.73 m and 7.73 x 2.68 x 3.73 m. The transformers were weighing 95 MT each. Entire cargo with accessories & oil drums were loaded under deck. They were destined for “Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion – Phase XI, for Sub-Station Naeeja Super at Qatar.

The challenge was to arrange suitable vessel matching technical requirement of transformers for sea transportation. Another challenge was to complete loading / discharging of entire cargo within given period of time and delivery of the same within 35 days. However due to excellent loading, stowing, sea fastening and planning with all parties the entire operation was completed well in time at both ends and delivered within time frame.
