Worldwide Project Consortium

Heavy refinery equipment transport in USA by BNSFL

Dec 1, 2015

BNSF Logistics Toronto and BNSFL’s Global Project Center in Houston, both members to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Canada and the USA, worked together to coordinate the transport of multiple over dimensional cargoes, arriving by ocean vessel from China at the Port of Houston. From there the transport was organized to the Nat Gasoline site in Beaumont, Texas.

With the largest unit weighing over 451 tons, BNSFL put their team to work designing transport by barge and roll-off plans at the final site. Using one barge and 24axle line of Goldhofer PST-SLE transporter, all cargo was delivered safely to the destination. The barge was offloaded in only two days, much to the delight of the client who was eagerly awaiting their new refining equipment.
