Holleman Bulgaria OOD, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), transported two evaporators and one separator from Plovdiv, Bulgaria to port Regensburg, Germany. Each evaporator had dimensions 27.00 / 4.05 / 3.85 m and 78 ton, and the separator – 7.00 / 3.70 / 3.90 m and 9 ton.
Both big pieces have been moved in a convoy from Plovdiv to port Ruse, where the cargo was transshipped into a river vessel. The total dimensions of each truck loaded were 37.00 / 4.05 / 4.95 m and 120 ton.
The distance between the factory and the port was 400 km and the transport was completed within 2 days. During the transport there were several challenges – cutting off electricity; traffic arrangements and crossing rail-ways. Of course, police escort was necessary during the route.
