Significant project cargo volumes discharged by Aaras at Port of Karachi

Aaras Project and Logistics Pakistan Pvt., Ltd, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Pakistan, recently handled significant amounts of incoming project cargo in the Port of Karachi arriving onboard MV. Han Zhi. Aaras was appointed the shipping agency services for the vessel, with complete logistic operations.

The discharged cargo consisted of 179 heavy and long packages of project equipment weighing 2311.0390 Tons with a volume of 7176 CBM. The companys stevedores efficiently and safety discharged the cargoes from the vessel, took direct delivery under hook/hook and arranged transportation from berth to the stowage area allotted by the Port Qasim authority.

At the stowage area special arrangements were required for heavy units to offload onto Jack stand for smooth loading/shifting. On completion of custom formalities safe inland transportation of the cargoes to the job site over a distance to 1460 km conclude the task for the experts from Aaras.
