With immediate effect Al Madina Logistics Services in Muscat, Oman has been appointed as exclusive member for the WWPC in Oman.

Al Madina is in to 3PL and providing complete logistical solutions for Omani importers and project owners. They have their own large fleet of equipment and a newly constructed warehouse. The details are on the web for your further perusal.

Their core team of executives are headed by Mr. Mahmood Sakhi Balushi, a respected name in the Omani logistics trade.

With AMLS fully geared to with adequate assets and professional people, the WWPC global platform for project logistics will be an added advantage for the upcoming market of Oman in Projects.

Transportation (Owned)

  • Total 67 units of Prime Movers (HGV) complete with GPS and IVMS
  • Total 94 units of Flat Bed, Skelly & Low Bed
  • Total 6 units of Rigid Box Truck
  • Total 4 units of Container Side Loader
  • Total 1 unit 40 Footer of Curtain Sider Truck
  • Total 1 unit of 40 Footer Refrigerated Truck
  • All AMLS fleet is less than 2 year old
  • All AMLS fleet fitted with GPS for 24*7 monitoring via own web-based system

Warehousing (Owned)

  • Phase 1: 5,500 SQ M Warehouse fully built and leased (1st space frame Warehouse in Oman)
  • Phase 2: 3,500 SQ M Warehouse built and operating for Tires Storage & Distribution
  • Phase 3: 18,000 SQ M Warehouse expected completion by January end 2012 (1st LEED & BREAM Certified Building in Oman)

Muscat Container Depot – MCD (Owned)

  • 1st privately owned Bonded Inland Container Yard
  • 2,100 TEU’s capacity
  • 2 Laden Container Stackers

Finally, as from 1st January 2012, there is a new customs regulation in place, where by Only 100% Omani companies, having the custom clearance license will be allowed to process customs procedures. The objective of this move by the government was to instill Omanization in the logistics trade. This gives Al Madina Logistics Services an edge over competitors in securing the Onshore logistics services for Projects.
